First Day of School

I can't believe it is already time for school again.  This year both of you get to go to school!  Karys, you were so excited about finally having the opportunity to get to go to school with Bubba!!  For weeks when you woke up in the morning, the first words out of your mouth were...."Mommy is it school today"?  To which mommy said for WEEKS...."SOON"!  Poor thing!!!
Carston your teacher is Ms. Denese and you were super excited that a lot of your friends were in your class again!!  Karys for the first few weeks you called your Ms. Kristen (Ms. Christmas) and Ms. Shawn (Ms. Shaw).  You were super excited about meeting Ms. Christmas but not so sure about Ms. Shawn....I suppose Ms. Christmas sounded nicer!

Super excited about your adventures that await!
So silly...

Ice cream for our first day of school!

My heart ached when I dropped you both of for school but I am so grateful that you both happily walked right in!  No tears!!

Skidamarink.....

Wordless Wednesday...Trouble!

Carston, Karys, locked door, water running....TROUBLE!!!

Karys....

My wonderful friend Ashlie took pictures of Karys for her second birthday.  God gave us quite a few obstacles but these pictures were SOOO worth the wait!  We had to reschedule several times due to sickness and weather.  We finally picked  a day that was going to work!  There was rain in the forecast but we decided to go for it!  Today was the day!!  When we got to the Arboretum there were clouds in the sky but it was a GO!  After about 30 minutes we started to hear a little thunder...followed by a lot of thunder.  Then a few sprinkles...followed by big drops.  Eventually, the little storm was a big storm!!  Big gusts of wind, pouring rain, crazy lightning and hail!  Originally, we waited the storm out on a porch but when the strong winds and hail came we ended up going inside for lunch.  A fancy lunch...with glass cups and ceramic plates!  Oye Ve!!  Sometimes the best memories are the most challenging!

Amazing...

We had to bribe you with a smartie or two....

Breathtaking...

Hanging out while the storm passes (or gets started)!

I'll enjoy a snack while I wait!

This is fancy....

The Big Yellow Bus...

Karys and Blakey on the bus.....LOVE!

Fourth of July....

Look...I'm only two months behind!  This year for the Fourth of July we went to Mansfield's celebration with Kiki, Quentin, Ty and Blake.  The most exciting part of this entire adventure was riding the, "Big Yellow" school bus!  How is it that I don't have one single picture of us on the bus?!  We enjoyed getting tattoos, eating pizza and ice cream!!  We loved watching (or running around and screaming) the fireworks!!

Karys' very first tattoo.....

Goofy

Karys I promise that we brushed you hair and at one point you had a fabulous bow!
Where oh where could that bow be?!?!

Ice Cream...

This summer was a scorcher!  Which can only mean one thing...Ice Cream!

What's summer without a little or a LOT of ice cream!

Batman...

Dora...the closest we could get to a princess!

Summer fun....

Summer was full of laughter, awesome adventures and extremely HOT!!  Daddy helped us build a birdhouse for B-Gat.  This project was full of experimenting!!  You got to use a drill, wood glue and we topped it off with a little painting fun!!

At first you were hesitant but then you eagerly jumped in!

Carston, you love to use daddy's tools!

Karys, you loved painting and decorating the house!

Carston, you were happy with watching Karys do all of the decorating!

Wait is that the ice cream truck?!?  Painting and building can wait!
